Shrine is definitely a "fun-of" and I've always wanted to play it.
With more mana symbols+higher CMC on threats+no scrying sheets, rituals to power out big threats ASAP seems necessary. ] seemed like a definite no-brainer with Demigod. I'm working around "I Think This Is Cool," in that ] and ] are staying no matter what. Not expecting to beat an Eldrazi Tron or Storm by any means of course, but I'd like for it to be at least okay. Demigod reminds me a lot of ] which is an all-star whenever I played it, but without the inclusion of maindeck relic, I couldn't justify them.
Grinding with Demigods or Sarkhan flying overhead as the main wincon with expendable ramp to power them out. My goal was for it to be dangerous with threat after threat, but ideally on a budget(hence Slagstorm over Anger of the Gods) and keeping some fun cards I like in the mix. Bad idea, I know, but it gets old after a while. In my Timmy quest, I decided to try cutting the Skred shell of Blood Moon/Snows/Skred/Scrying Sheets. I wanted to make a red deck to play on MTGO! I love red but I hate burn, and I already own a pretty standard ] deck in real life, so essentially buying a deck twice is not on my agenda.
